Top Row:
I went to _______ college and a favorite memory
I went to Radford University (it used to be called the State Teachers college in 1924). I love my campus and one of my favorite buildings is called Muse... it has 13 floors. Just don't be on the 13th floor during a fire drill, it's a lot of steps! My favorite memory was when I got to go for LT (Leadership Training) in Colorado the summer of my sophomore year with some of my church friends. That's when I really found the love of traveling... we got to stay at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park and work the park all summer. I worked in housekeeping... and I LOVED IT!! I worked on a crew who was in competition with another crew and we could see how fast we could clean a cabin and it look sparkling before lunch.... once we finished like 12 cabins that day before lunch. It was awesome!:)

My Favorite subject to teach and why
I teach kindergarten so that means we teach all the subjects. But I love to teach language arts! And for the first time since I have been an elementary school teacher I felt as if I taught language arts this year. See my school is a part of half the district that uses this obsolete reading program. But this year I was able to push that program aside and teach language arts how I wanted to. And my students soared! It was great seeing their PALS scores during the year and seeing their progress. Plus with language arts there are so many different activities I can teach with. My kids and I have so much fun learning!

Dream Vacation
I have always said that I want to go to Greece however, my bucket list of vacation ideas have expanded. I would love to visit about a few countries on my trip. First my trip will begin in Finland then I will travel to Estonia. Next, I would love, love, love to visit my favorite castle, the Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany. Then visit Cornwall, England and  "walk on water." (something I saw on the Travel Channel). And lastly visit Cardiff, Wales (Torchwood fan!). If I could make a stop into Ireland I would just be a happy woman. Maybe this might be the plan after I have retired and can spend my whole summer vacationing (wishful thinking).

Remember to join the Linky Party and get acquainted with some of your fellow bloggers!

P.S. Make sure you are following Clutter-Free Classroom as she is having a Summer of Tips and Flash Freebies.
