    I love when the students bring in their "ME" bags with items to represent their interests, family, etc. We all share as a group then we write about 2 or 3 items. A photo is taken during the share, placed on their writing & the 1st class book for the classroom library is completed. dbednarsk@yahoo.com

    My favorite October writing is writing all about pumpkins around the time we have our farm field trip!

    My favorite writing activity during October is to have my students write a "Spooky Story"...then they get to create a prop to go with it.

    I use a combination of Daily 5 and Literacy Stations. I use daily 5 in a literacy station format.
